ULTRAM 50 mg is used in the moderate to rigorous pain in the body. Tramadol hydrochloride is the main therapeutic agent present in the ULTRAM tablet. Tramadol act to decrease the production of Prostaglandin synthesis in the body. ULTRAM 50 restricts the contact between nerve and brain and thus blocks the transmission of the pain signal. ULTRAM falls under the category of weak agonist against OP3 receptor. ULTRAM binds to opioid receptors and G – Protein receptor responsible to activates effecter protein to alter the response system of the body for the pain and thus gives relief from the chronic or acute pain.

It is used for the treatment of pain caused after operation, during surgical treatment and for pain in chronic conditions such as cancer or common pain.
Contraindication of ULTRAM 50 mg tablet
Tramadol may contraindicate with some diseases or treatment. It is contraindicated in those patients who are hypersensitivity from the Tramadol. It is contraindicated in pregnant women or also in period of lactation. If patient has allergy with this drug or its active or inactive ingredients. This medicine is not recommended to those patients who are less than 18 years old.

ULTRAM 50 mg tablet may interact with other drugs if taken simultaneously and may result in some unwanted or harmful consequences. These drugs are Tapentadol, Cimetidine, Serotonergics, Quinidine, Anxiolytics, Monoamine oxidase inhibitor, Carbamazepine and Paracetamol.
Storage condition of ULTRAM 50 mg tablet
Store the medicine at room temperature about 25-30 0C and also the storage place should be hygienic and dried out. It must be protected from excess heat, light or moisture. Keep the medicine away from the reach of children and the pets.

ULTRAM 50 mg tablet is advised to take once in a day. ULTRAM 50 mg drug should be taken orally with a glass of water. If the patient does not get relief then take it again after 4 to 6 hours. It can be taken by with or without food. If the medicine does not show their result avoid extra dose as it may be hazardous.
Missed Dose of ULTRAM 50 mg tablet
Take your doses regularly on time. If you missed your dose then take it as soon as you get remembered but if it is the time for the next dose then skipped it and continue with your regular dose as per plan. Do not take double dose for compensating the missed dose.
Overdose of ULTRAM 50 mg tablet
Avoid overdosing of ULTRAM 50 mg tablet as it may be unsafe for health. With overdosing of this drug symptoms that can be seen are addiction of the drug, vertigo, gloominess, or enhance the risk of seizures and convulsion. If you get overdosed then consult with your doctor.
Some common side that are commonly seen while using the ULTRAM 50 mg are abdominal pain, nervousness, feeling anxiety, burning sensation, sweating of the face, loss in appetite, headache, feeling of sleepiness, diarrhea, constipation, blocked nose. Some rare but serious side effects are agitation, fainting, redness of skin, fever, heart rate disorder, constipation.
Avoid using any alcoholic beverages, sleeping pills, hypnotics and any other narcotic or opioid drugs. Do not use Ultram 50 if you are allergic to Tramadol or any of its active or inactive constituents.
